ITINERARIES
DAY 1
Plan

Day 1. Night in the jungle: Arrival in Leticia 12:30 pm – Transfer from Alfredo Vásquez Cobos International Airport (LET) to Ecohotel Canaloa. The reserve will connect you in front of the Amazon River with the heart of the jungle. As an introduction to the adventure, the first night you will have a night walk in the primary forest of the Calanoa Natural Reserve, guided by expert natives who have ancestral knowledge. The jungle is one day and one night, and it changes between high water and low water season.

DAY 2
Plan

Day 2. Indigenous culture: In the morning, we will visit an indigenous village to get closer to the daily life of its people (El Vergel or Mocagua). In the afternoon we will hike through the Calanoa Nature Reserve to the Matamata creek, on the border with the Amacayacu National Natural Park, where a canoe picks up our visitors to return to Calanoa by river (if the water level allows it). You will be able to observe landscapes of high and broken jungle, birds, monkeys and possibly some mammals, the adaptations of plants and insects, learn about medicinal plants, legends and myths from the indigenous vision of the forest. DAY 3
Plan

Day 3. Navigating the Amazon River: In the morning, walk on the island of Mocagua, considered part of the Amacayacu National Park, with unique species of flora and fauna, where you will see lakes with the beautiful Victoria Amazónica, the largest lotus in the world. . High Petticoats The tour is done by canoe. In the afternoon, departure by boat to the Peruvian shore in search of pink dolphins and to enjoy the sunset from the Amazon, always different and with all the colors of the universe.

DAY 4
Plan

Day 4. Amazon Garden: We will take a boat to the community of Vista Alegre on the Peruvian side, and we will hike through the forest, or if it is the time of high water, canoe through the flooded forest, where you can see birds, sloths and a huge and diverse fauna and flora of the lowland jungle. In the afternoon, visit the garden (chagra) of Milciades, traditional doctor of the Cocama people. It will guide us through the traditional way of cultivation, and the use of medicinal plants.

DAY 5
